About us
Legacy Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy is an independent, family-owned martial arts school in the city of Coquitlam, founded in 2022 by Ramtin Rajabinia and his wife Nilou Noursadeghi.
Legacy is committed to delivering the highest standard of instruction, reflecting our passion for the transformative power of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. We believe that BJJ is for everyone, regardless of age, gender, or experience level.

Our academy is built to be both beginner-friendly and growth-driven. We create a welcoming environment for those stepping onto the mats for the first time, while also challenging and supporting students who want to compete and reach higher levels. We proudly offer mentorship and dedicated coaching for competitors looking to develop their skills and perform at their best.

We offer programs for children as young as 4 years old, and we warmly welcome adults and seniors who are interested in starting their journey. We also provide women’s-only classes, as well as seasonal programs such as summer camps and day camps designed for specific communities.

Our goal is to inspire and empower all of our members to become the best version of themselves, both on and off the mats. We operate on a flexible monthly membership model, and drop-ins are always welcome.

Our Culture
✔ We learn from mistakes and grow together
✔ We keep ourselves and our training space clean
✔ We respect our teammates and coaches
✔ We support each other on and off the mats
✔ And most importantly, we enjoy the journey
